Dama Scout – gen wo lai (come with me)

This is more than just a band embracing DIY culture, but weaving their own universe.

Label: Hand In Hive
Released: 22nd April 2022

The wait for a debut album from London/Glasgow art-rockers Dama Scout hasn’t been insignificant – but then, like many, they have a global disaster to thank for the pause on a pre-pandemic rise.

Finally here, ‘gen wo lai (come with me)’ recalls exactly why the trio became so highly rated in the first place. Mixing, producing, writing and recording everything themselves, creating all their own artwork and videos – this is more than just a band embracing DIY culture, but weaving their own universe. A cathartic creation, it’s been worth the wait.
