Dylan Fraser – The World Isn’t Big When You Know How It Works EP

Dylan Fraser is back to knock your socks clean off your feet.

Label: Asylum/Atlantic
Released: 17th September 2021

Following on from a banging 2020, rock-influenced alt-pop up-and-comer Dylan Fraser is back to knock your socks clean off your feet with his second EP ‘The World Isn’t Big When You Know How It Works’. Belting a wide range of tones and influences, Dylan presents seven tracks, each one with a different personality and approach from the other.

Whether setting up sinister tones with foreboding synthetic drums or pumping chirpy tunes to the nature of life, this EP manages to land every shot it takes thanks to its pristine producing and excellently executed vocals. It’s impossible not to get drawn into whatever Dylan is laying down. ‘Supersonic’ has an undeniably badass vibe that’s built on a driving rhythm and moody vocal distortion. Even when he slows down and strips everything back on ‘Only A Fool’, Dylan manages to deliver an atmospheric ballad that showcases a vulnerability that fuels a very emotional performance.

If anything, ‘The World Isn’t Big When You Know How It Works’ is an exercise in versatility. Dylan Fraser wants us to know he’s more than capable of nailing tracks of every pace, tone and intent in just seven songs. He has made that clear as day.
