As you’d expect, social media remains a mix of those who embrace the ridiculousness of Arctic Monkeys‘ recent output, and those that want them to remain ever stuck somewhere between their debut and ‘AM’. The truth is, though, even when riding a vibe, their headline set at Glastonbury 2023 is never anything but arresting. When the belters hit, they take like wildfire – but there has always been more to Arctic Monkeys than that. Still able to dominate the narrative; there’s no band quite like them.
