What can we say about CMAT that we haven’t said before. If pop stars are built on razzle-dazzle and attitude, she’s the greatest, freshest new voice in years. Her debut album was a remarkable work, one of the best of last year, and now she’s on the road to a follow-up, expected before the end of 2023. Glastonbury is a place that deals in icons, and so it makes perfect sense that CMAT would be so brilliant, she’d more than live up to the billing. At one point, she almost had us shedding a tear. Transcendent.
