With so many buzz bands about at the moment, it’s easy to group Lovejoy into a pack of peers – but that wouldn’t be quite right. The sheer volume of noise and adoration for the former Dork cover stars is next level. There are stage headliners at Glastonbury 2023 who don’t come close to this bunch. That they’re placed on the BBC Introducing stage on the Sunday of the festival is proof that their ascendancy is coming in fast, but while they may be playing the smaller stages on this summer’s festival run, you can be damn sure they’ll be on far bigger ones come next year.
