Wolf Alice hit their victory lap at London’s Eventim Apollo

It used to be we were flirting with hyperbole when we referred to Wolf Alice as the undoubted Best Band in Britain Right Now. After a chart-topping debut for their latest album ‘Blue Weekend’, and a Brit Award for Best Group secured earlier this month, it feels a bit like we might need to up the stakes a bit.

Thankfully, they’re more than eager to offer that opportunity. Hitting London for a three-night stand at the capital’s Eventim Apollo, even a once-in-thirty-years stormy apocalypse wasn’t enough to stop Ellie, Joff, Theo and Joel from proving exactly why they’re the kind of band that leads the path for their peers to follow. Both exciting and important, holding the attention of the room without becoming po-faced or boring with it – their latest tour is a victory lap, even if they’ve still got plenty of gas left in the tank. We sent our intrepid photographer Sarah Louise Bennett down to one of the nights to record the moment. Enjoy!

And as if that’s not enough, long-term Dork fave Matt Maltese was also along for the ride. You can check out some snaps of his set too.
