Say Lou Lou’s album influences playlist

Say Lou Lou run through a few tunes that influenced their new album, 'Immortelle'.

Swedish/Australian twins Say Lou Lou are about to drop their second album ‘Immortelle’ (due Friday, 26th October), and to celebrate they’ve put together a playlist of influences, full of cult faves like Portishead and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

“’Immortelle’ was inspired by the early days of trip-hop and the string samples they used from old Hollywood film scores, mixed with French warm, groovy electronic music and 80s alt-pop,” the band explain.

“The theme of ‘Immortelle’ is the undying essence of womanhood, and allowing it to be multi-dimensional; an exploration of the madonna/whore complex and archaic double standards in our society.”

You can check out their latest video for ‘Golden Child’ here, too.
