SON Estrella Galicia and Paper Dress Vintage are teaming up for a third event in their ongoing series of cultural exchanges on Thursday, 15th June. A night of live music, beer culture, and sustainability, it will feature performances from Jessica Winter, Miss Tiny, and Playback Maracas in the unique settings of East London’s Paper Dress Vintage.
Since 2009, SON Estrella Galicia has been curating unique concert experiences across Spain, Brazil, Portugal, and the US. Now, in partnership with Paper Dress Vintage, they are bringing their distinctive blend of music and beer culture to London.
Who’s Playing?
The evening promises a thrilling lineup of musical talent. Jessica Winter, a pop provocateur who featured in Dork’s 2023 Hype List, will perform fresh off the release of her Really Very Good ‘Limerence’ EP. Her electric live sets have previously seen her share stages with artists as varied as Death Grips, Rebecca Black, and Peaches, with appearances at renowned festivals like SXSW, Field Day, and Reading & Leeds.
Miss Tiny, the innovative project from iconic Speedy Wunderground mastermind and producer Dan Carey and Benjamin Romans-Hopcraft, will bring their intense, experimental art-rock to the stage. Miss Tiny debuted at the Windmill venue in Brixton and have been steadily conquering the DIY-stages of London’s music scene in anticipation of their debut EP, ‘DEN7’.
Completing the lineup, eccentric electronic trio Playback Maracas will represent the Spanish element of the evening. Fresh from the release of their debut album ‘Playback Maracas & The Electronic Moon Orchestra’, the group’s innovative sound blends indie, house, psychedelia, and cumbia for an infectious dance experience.
What else is going on?
The event will also feature interactive elements promoting Estrella Galicia’s commitment to sustainability. Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into Estrella Galicia’s artisanal beer culture, with workshops from the brand’s beer experts and a gastronomical element to be revealed soon.
Speaking on the ongoing collaborations, Victor Mantiñán, Head of Global Music Sponsorship at Estrella Galicia says: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Paper Dress Vintage… we see very bright futures ahead of Jessica Winter, Miss Tiny, and Playback Maracas and can’t wait to see them in a small venue.”
Co-owner of Paper Dress Vintage, Stephen Dix, adds: “Once again they’ve pulled together a brilliantly buzzy line-up from the London scene… Matching these 2 music scenes together alongside delicious al fresco gastronomy on a Summer evening in Hackney is the stuff dreams are made of…roll on 15 June!”
