100 gecs have mixed sleigh bells and ska on new single ‘sympathy 4 the grinch’

Secret Santa has been at the whisky again.

What is the true spirit of Christmas, Dear Reader? Is it Santa, with his mighty sack? Or mince pies, munched on round an open fire, singing songs of baby Jesus and untouched, crunchy snow?

Or, perhaps, maybe, it’s the sound of 100 gecs?

Obviously it isn’t – that would cause Nan to have more of a breakdown that she usually does when confronted with an edition of Christmas Top Of The Pops – but still, it’s what we’re getting in the form of brand new ‘holiday single’ ‘sympathy 4 the grinch’.

A mix between their trademark distorted pummelling and, erm, ska-punk with sleigh bells (yes, we know – Ed), it continues a festive trend that started with last year’s hometown ‘Gec The Halls’ show.

One for the nice list, or actually very naughty? As ever, it’s sure to split the room. And still, nobody has set up a pasty themed gecs covers band called 100 Greggs. Come on, people.
