110 Above is planning a “full-blown, no holds barred festival” for 2021, according to organisers.
After being forced to pull their 2020 edition, like everyone else, thanks to Covid-19, the Leicestershire based event – one of the best curated small festivals in the UK, intends to be back between 12th and 15th August.
A statement from 110 Above director Michael Lain states: “As a small festival and taking place in mid-August we had been hopeful that we would be able to have people back to the farm this year. This week’s announcements and the fantastic work being done by the NHS and volunteers in getting as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible has boosted our confidence further.”
“Whilst we have seen a surge in ticket sales since Monday we remain mindful that nothing is firm yet and our number one priority is looking after those that have afforded us their trust by purchasing a ticket for the festival. We are closely monitoring official guidance from Public Health England, UK Government, local public health authorities and the Association of Independent Festivals in regard to public events and outdoor gatherings and we will implement recommendations and instructions appropriately. There is of course the (thankfully not so significant) possibility that 2021 could be a no goer. Rest assured if this is the case, all ticket holders will be given the opportunity to claim a refund.”
The 2021 line-up for 110 Above includes headline appearances from Sports Team, The Amazons and Sundara Karma, with the likes of Alfie Templeman, Bloxx, The Snuts, Kawala and Yonaka already announced.
