Charli XCX made an unexpected appearance during The 1975‘s show at Manchester’s AO Arena last night (20th January).

Playing ‘Vroom Vroom’, Charli is the second special guest of the band’s current UK tour, after Taylor Swift joined the band at the first of two shows at London’s O2 Arena. Swift performed an acoustic version of ‘Anti-Hero’ from her latest album, ‘Midnights’, and a solo cover of The 1975’s ‘The City’.

The 1975 also gave a rare airing to early track ‘Menswear’, which you can check out below.

On the North American leg of the tour, The 1975 were joined by Phoebe Bridgers for a cover of ‘Milk’ in Los Angeles and Jack Antonoff, who performed a medley of Bleachers songs in San Francisco.

Yesterday, Charli XCX and The 1975’s George Daniel released their remix of Caroline Polachek ‘s new single ‘Welcome To My Island’.
