A bunch of ‘white label’ pressings of albums from David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, Foals and more are set to be auctioned

  • Dork News Desk
  • September 18, 2019

A ‘White Label’ auction is set to be held as part of a week-long build-up to this year’s National Album Day.

With the celebration itself taking place on 12th October, the auction will take place the weekend prior on Saturday, 5th October at 11am.

‘White label’ test pressings of a whole load of important British albums – with as few as 5 or 10 produced of each – will be solid to fans and collectors. Some of those available include records from David Bowie, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Bastille, Biffy Clyro, Manic Street Preachers, Royal Blood and loads more.

The auction will raise funds for music industry charity The BRIT Trust, which promotes education and wellbeing through music.

The final list is still being added to, and can be viewed on https://www.omegaauctions.co.uk/. Among the white label discs that fans will be able to bid for are various recordings released or reissued mostly since 2014, including around 20 that are artist-signed:
