Ahead of her biggest headline tour yet later this month, Manchester singer Abbie Ozard has shared a new single, ‘ford (drive)’.

The track follows her June EP, ‘Water Based Lullabies’, which Dork’s 4-star review said, “does what it says on the tin – easing you into rest and relaxation, but absolutely making a splash while doing so”.

On her new release, Abbie has shared: “I wrote this song before I passed my driving test this year, and I thrived off being a passenger in the front seat of the car. ‘ford (drive)’ is subjectively a love song but with a twist of angst (a recurring theme I seem to have in most of my songs).”

“I always have this underlying insecurity that I’m way too much, or my least favourite personality trait of oversharing will start to ruin things,” she adds. “Despite these insecurities, I wanted to capture the euphoria of romance, friendship, and feeling so at home with someone you feel like you can overshare till your heart’s content. So I guess in that way, this song is an ode to fellow oversharers.”
