Adele has won the award for Album of the Year at this year’s BRIT Awards for her most recent full-length, ’30’.
They took the prize ahead of Dave, for ‘We’re All Alone In This Together’, Ed Sheeran, for ‘=’, Little Simz, for ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ and Sam Fender, for ‘Seventeen Going Under’.
It was her third award of the night, also taking home the awards for Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. So, basically, it was Adele’s year. Shock!
The generally adored superstar released her fourth studio album ’30’, in November 2021. The album spent 5 weeks at the top of the UK album charts.
Adele is also due to return to UK shores for live shows as part of British Summer Time at Hyde Park, headlining two shows as part of the festival in July 2022.
This year’s BRIT Awards ceremony takes place at London’s O2 Arena, with performances from the likes of Adele, Liam Gallagher, Little Simz, Holly Humberstone and Sam Fender.
