Adele has won the award for Artist of the Year at this year’s BRIT Awards

They beat the likes of Dave, Sam Fender and more to the prize.

Adele has won the award for Artist of the Year at this year’s BRIT Awards.

She took the prize ahead of Dave, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz and Sam Fender.

It was Adele’s second award of the evening, having also secured the award for Song of the Year. She also took the stage, performing ‘I Drink Wine’. 

The generally adored superstar released her fourth studio album ’30’, in November 2021. The album spent 5 weeks at the top of the UK album charts.

Adele is also due to return to UK shores for live shows as part of British Summer Time at Hyde Park, headlining two shows as part of the festival in July 2022. 

This year’s BRIT Awards ceremony takes place at London’s O2 Arena, with performances from the likes of Adele, Liam Gallagher, Little Simz, Holly Humberstone and Sam Fender.
