aespa have joined the elite “double-million seller” club, with their new mini-album ‘MY WORLD’ selling an incredible 2,011,388 copies as of May 22nd according to SM Entertainment, just two weeks after its May 8th release.
This new personal record sees aespa become only the second girl group ever to sell over two million copies, following BLACKPINK’s ‘BORN PINK’ in 2022. Remarkably, they achieved this feat in just two and a half years since their debut, making them the fastest girl group in K-pop history to sell over two million copies.
‘MY WORLD’ had already made aespa the girl group album with the highest first-day sales and highest first-week sales in the Hanteo charts, selling 1,372,929 copies on its first day and 1,698,784 copies in its first week.
