Alfie Templeman is chucking the fruity loops on new track ‘Sunday Morning Cereal’

It's from an EP of the same name, due next month.

16 year-old Alfie Templeman, 16 – who is only 16 years old did we mention? – has dropped a brand new track which is really very good. He’s 16.

Seriously, though, Dear Reader – the Dork approved pop prodigy is back in style with news of his second EP ‘Sunday Morning Cereal’, which is set to arrive on 21st June on Chess Club.

Following up on his Moomin-tastic recent track ‘Stop Thinking (About Me)’, the new release comes alongside the stream for the title track, and it’s Really Very Good Indeed.

“While I was writing and recording ‘Sunday Morning Cereal’, I’d been listening to a lot of ‘90s hip hop records like 2001 by Dr Dre and started to take influence from those drum grooves and exotic synth sounds,” our Alf explains. “It’s definitely a different sounding record than my usual guitar based tracks.”

The EP also features Alfie’s 12 year-old little sister on closing track ‘Busy’, which is even younger than 16 – can you imagine such a thing?!

Alfie has a few festivals ‘on the books’ over the coming months. He’ll play Field Day next month, followed by Truck between 26th and 28th July, then Mirrors in November.
