Allison Ponthier is going full yee-haw with her debut single, ‘Cowboy’

It's really, really great.

We all love a bit of yee-haw, don’t we, Dear Reader? Well, the quite frankly brilliant Allison Ponthier has you sorted.

Arriving with the first single from her debut EP, the track is even titled ‘Cowboy‘. Can’t get more yee-haw than that.

The newcomer explains: “I spent so much time trying to distance myself from my Texan childhood, that it was always bizarre to me that the song that means the most to me was country-inspired.”

“While this song has existed for four years, it has always been my favorite because I wrote it for me.”

The video – directed by (Christine and the Queens, TOKiMONSTA) – is equally great. You can check that out before.
