Alt-J and Maggie Rogers were on Later… with Jools Holland last night – catch up now

No. There's not a new message in the chat. It's just Alt-J on the wind-up again.
We’re getting close to Alt-J’s new album ‘Relaxer’ now. Set for release on 2nd June, the band showed up on Later… with Jools Holland last night (16th May).

Performing the shifting, brooding ‘In Cold Blood’, complete with brass section (and percussion that sounds exactly like the new message alert in the Dork group chat, thanks for that lads – Ed), they were in typically Alt-J-y form – glorious, odd-ball not-pop-but-also-not-not-pop in full force.

Also appearing on last night’s show was Maggie Rogers, who treated us to a blast through ‘Alaska’ and a stage outfit so brilliantly colourful we’re thinking of asking if they do it in bedding and curtains too.

You can check out both below, and catch more when the full show airs this Friday (19th May) on BBC Two.
