alt-J are going to use new surround sound technology at their upcoming Royal Albert Hall shows

It's for a more "multidimensional" experience. 

alt-J have announced some pretty fancy plans for their upcoming London gigs.

Their two nights at the Royal Albert Hall will be the first in the UK to utilise L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound, a surround sound system that will “create a more multidimensional” experience.

The band – who’ve not long released new album ‘Relaxer’, and its hip-hop reworking ‘Reduxer’ – previously used the technology for their one-off show at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium in the summer.
