Alt-J bring the grooves to US telly with ‘In Cold Blood’

  • Dork News Desk
  • April 20, 2017
Whilst we love getting dazzled by tracks, there’s something special about a band taking the stage and blowing us away live. Alt-J have done it many a-time over the course of their undeniable career so far (too many to name to be fair), and they delivered something special again when they took to US telly last night (April 18th).

Taking on new stormer ‘In Cold Blood’ on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the trio were back by The Roots’ very own Questlove and a horn section to join in on the many pulls and sirens that hit on the number. It basically made any telly performance look like childs play, and that’s a bloody dagger to the heart of Jools Holland.

‘In Cold Blood’ is the latest number taken from Alt-J’s incoming new album ‘Relaxer’ – set for release on June 2nd. Following on from lead number ‘3WW’ (which features Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell btw), the album is set to be yet another stormer – with our appetites well and truly wet for their headline night at London’s O2 Arena on June 16th in celebration of it all.

Count us in for that, and count us in on Alt-J’s performance of ‘In Cold Blood’ below. Have some of that TV land.
