alt-J have debuted their “tongue-in-cheek” crypto-goldrush track ‘Hard Drive Gold’

"How ironically you interpret its message is entirely up to you…"

alt-J have debuted their brand new track, ‘Hard Drive Gold’.

The third single to arrive from the band’s forthcoming album ‘The Dream’, it follows up on the previously revealed ‘Get Better’ and ‘U&ME’.

It comes alongside a video directed by the band’s Joe Newman, who explains: “‘Hard Drive Gold’ is a slightly tongue-in-cheek song written at what we thought was the height of the cryptocurrency gold rush. It’s the story of the ultimate childhood fantasy, the schoolboy who becomes a millionaire overnight, and the different interactions he has with people in his life from teachers to neighbours. How ironically you interpret its message is entirely up to you…”

‘The Dream’ is set to be released on 11th February. The band will head out on tour later this year. You can catch them at:
