alt-J have released a new video for ‘The Actor’.

It’s the a cut from the band’s recent album ‘The Dream’, released earlier this year, and arrives ahead of a summer on the road.

Speaking about the track, the band explain: “Hollywood, 1982. Another hopeful young movie star arrives in search of The Dream. What follows is a tale of desperation, drugs and death in LA’s most famous hotel. It’s ‘The Actor’.”

Of the video, they add: “Having the opportunity to work with our talented friend and director, Saskia Dixie was a treat, and we believe her ability to capture the emotional aspect of this song serves ‘The Actor’ beautifully.”
