Anna Meredith wins 2016 SAY Award

That's the Scottish Album of the Year to you, matey.
Anna Meredith has scooped this year’s SAY Award for her album ‘Varmints’.

The Scottish Album of the Year is designed to honour – wait for it, you’ll never guess – the year’s best Scottish album. Yep. Blew our mids too. Other nominees for this year’s gong included CHVRCHES, Steve Mason, C Duncan and FFS.

With the ceremony taking place last night, it was Meredith who emerged the winner. She was quite excited about it too.
