Anteros step up to the Festival Republic Stage at Reading & Leeds

  • Dork News Desk
  • August 26, 2016
Prior to releasing their ‘Breakfast’ EP (due 19th September), and the accompanying mini-tour, Anteros are coming to Reading & Leeds.

Are they looking forward to it? “YES and no,” says frontwoman Laura Hayden. “We’ve been excited to play Reading & Leeds since we confirmed a few months back. And no because Reading & Leeds kind of marks the end of summer festivals…”

“We watched Circa Waves play the same stage we’re playing last year,” she continues. “I remember turning and saying to Josh, ’Can that be us next year please?’”

The band play Reading later today (Friday 26th August) and then Leeds tomorrow (Saturday 27th August) on the Festival Republic Stage, alongside Blaenavon, Lewis Del Mar, Pulled Apart By Horses, Maximo Park and more.

There are plenty of bands they’re looking forward to catching. “The list is endless! The 1975, CHVRCHES, Slaves, Blossoms, Rat Boy, Two Door, Hinds, A$AP, Fickle Friends and Japanese House…”

And as for their own set? “We’ve added a new track to the set, is that special? I always think the more you plan something, the more awkward you feel on stage. We know what we’re playing, so we’re going to have fun with it on stage.”

22 Craufurd Arms, Milton Keynes

23 Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham
