APRE have dropped a brand new single, ‘You Always Get It Wrong’.
It’s the lead track from a brand new EP, ‘The Guns Down’, which is available now. According to the band, it’s “a song about how relationships can blossom and survive in stable and sustainable economic situations and times. It is all about capitalism but told from the point of view from an arrogant and dysfunctional relationship. Capitalist leaders can destroy our emotions and relationships in much the same way as an arrogant and selfish lover can.”
“There is so much going on in the world right now that doesn’t make sense to us,” they explain. “Crazy leaders with power hungry ambition, making trigger happy decisions that are based on ego rather than actual sensible and considerate thinking about people and the future. We want to create a place, a Dreamworld, where you can forget about those issues, where you can put down your anger and anxieties and leave them at the door, even if just for a few minutes. Somewhere you can trust and love the person next to you and enjoy the now.”
