APRE have dropped a brand new track, and announced plans for a mixtape for next year.
Titled ‘You’, the fresh cut previews the larger nine-track ‘A001’, which is set to arrive on 1st February 2022.
Following-up on lead single ‘All Mine’, which arrived last month, lead vocalist Charlie Brown reveals: “[‘You’] is about the realisation that you have to now live your life without the person who made your life worth living. It questions whether it was the right decision to choose to lose someone so dear to me, and the feeling of being alone. I find the coming and going on different relationships and what they bring to our lives fascinating, as we are all fundamentally plagued by loneliness, it’s part of being human.”
APRE kick off a London residency later this month, playing the capital’s Social in October, November and December. A press release explains they’ll be “focusing on the immersive experience of their upcoming mixtape” and will “be presenting a combination of art installations and live performances, echoing the retro themed narrative running through the forthcoming nine-track release”.
