Arlo Parks has confirmed she’s dropping a brand new track, ‘Weightless’, later today (18th January).
Not just that, she’s also teased some “big announcements” too.
Writing on social media, Arlo said: “Hello angels. All good things take time and I’m super excited to announce that tonight, from 6pm GMT I’ll be chatting with the legend herself Clara Amfo, who will be spinning my new track ‘Weightless’!!”
“It’ll be available to stream wherever you get your music after the first play on BBC Radio 1. P.S there will also be some more BIG BIG announcements on the show – please tune in I’m nervous loooool”

Where you get your music is here, Dear Reader. After 6pm. See you then.
At the weekend, the BRIT and Mercury winning star posted a video to social media. It featured the line “Re-reading our texts from the strawberry days”, alongside a date – 18.01.23.

The short clip features the set up for the filming of what is presumably a music video. A day previously, Arlo tweeted “I am starved of your affection”, alongside a link to her newsletter sign-up and a cinematic image of a burning car. A couple of days before that, she offered: i’ve been quiet for a reason hehehehehe”.

We’re expecting something new and significant (can we say ‘album’?) from Arlo in the first part of the year, as she’s already been confirmed as one of the spotlight headliners for The Great Escape this coming May.
Arlo’s last album, ‘Collapsed in Sunbeams’, was released in 2021 and saw her nominated for and winning a whole host of major awards.
