At The Drive In confirm new album ‘in·ter a·li·a’ with blistering new track ‘Incurably Innocent’

It’s the post-hardcore legends first album in 17 years, and it’s out on May 5th
We’ve been bloody patient, but that new At The Drive In album has been officially confirmed – with ‘in·ter a·li·a’ set to be the band’s first album in over 17 years.

Coming on May 5th, the album already boasts comeback track ‘Governed By Contagions’ (which landed last year) and now also has a fresh new taster in new cut ‘Incurably Innocent’.

Full-throttled and taking no prisoners, it’s exactly what you want At The Drive In to sound like in 2017, coming back with a bang with their first new LP since the classic ‘Relationship Of Command’ was released back in 2000.

Talking about ‘in·ter a·li·a’ to NME, frontman Cedric Bixler-Zavala explained how “we had to have our shit together as a family. Sometimes it’s hard to be criminally misunderstood and thought of as these people out there just to get the money. And even if we were out there just to get the fucking money, we have families, you know? You’re not eternally 20 years old living in council flats, putting up posters of your favourite bands with fuck all to do. Life is fucking life. People need to remember the human condition about being in a band. You just have to be patient and let a human being be a human being.”

At The Drive In will follow the release of ‘in·ter a·li·a’ with an appearance at this year’s Reading & Leeds festivals.
