Band of Horses announce new album ‘Why Are You OK?’

The record is produced by Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle.
Band of Horses have announced details of a new album.

The follow up to 2012’s ‘Mirage Rock’ will be titled ‘Why Are You OK?’, and is produced by Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle. Set for release this June, the reveal follows a scavenger hunt held in Austin during SXSW. Polaroids were scattered around the city labelled #YRUOK – probably as likely to cause an existential crisis among some music execs as to announce a new record.

The band have been working on the full-length since the end of 2014, when they released a Christmas song with Lytle.

It’s good timing for the band to announce something new, too. This week is the tenth anniversary of Band of Horses’ debut album ‘Everything All The Time’.
