Music news is a stressful place. New tracks! They’re dropping! Everywhere! Have you read about this tour! YOU’RE MISSING OUT ON SOMETHING. FASTER! MORE CONTENT! KEEP UP!
Sometimes, Dear Reader, we need to calm things down. We need to embrace the lovely, the wholesome, the… alpacas?
Bastille are currently locked in a release week charge for their latest album ‘Give Me The Future’. The current Dork over stars look set to win their third UK Number 1 album on Friday, such is their lead in the Monday midweek temperature check.
But chart battles – even if they’re one-sided – are stressful. Instores, live dates, constant promo. There are units to shift, pre-order commitments to keep. It’s intense.
So it’s only fair that, if frontman Dan Smith is going to share pictures of the band hanging out with a bunch of alpacas in the Lake District, we make sure everyone has seen them. Because they’re lovely.
According to Dan, their furry friends were called Milky Joe and Sputnik, but they won’t be doing gigs.
Good plan, lads. It’s awful when the supports upstage the headliners.
You can check out the animal action below. Bastille’s ‘Get Me The Future’ is out now. You can read our cover feature with the band here.
