Bastille’s new Marshmello hook-up ‘Happier’ is here

it's a chart friendly banger under the influence of the man in the helmet.

Bastille have dropped a brad new track.

Titled ‘Happier’, the band’s latest cut is a collab with chart friendly dance pop mastermind Marshmello.

Explaining what’s going on via Twitter, Dan Smith said: “Last year we wrote a song called “Happier” which we thought would be great as a collaboration. We had a lot of fun getting to work on it with Marshmello who managed to find some joy in the melancholy”

“It’s always good to step into somebody else’s world for a minute and we’re excited for the track to finally be out on Friday.”

Now, that track is finally here. It’s a more euphoric, chart friendly direction for Bastille, influenced by Marshmello’s hit-hoarding sound, but still keeping some of their trademark bombast intact. You can check out our first impressions of ‘Happier’ here, and check out the full track below.

We’re expecting Bastille’s third album, ‘Doom Days’, to come later this year. ‘Happier’ follows up on previous single ‘Quarter Past Midnight’.
