Dylan, piri & tommy, and FLO are all part of the newly-announced BBC Radio 1 Sound of 2023 Longlist.
With the full slate of artists confirmed this morning (December 5th), there are currently ten artists in the running for the coveted music award, which was won by PinkPantheress in 2022. Past winners include Adele and Sam Smith, with music specialists voting for their top choices.
Crossing a range of genres, the longlist is a diverse and striking display of the acts to watch out for over the next twelve months; the top five artists and an overall winner will be announced on January 5th.
Nominees include the Dork Hype List 2023-leading pop-rocker Dylan, rattling dance-pop duo of piri & tommy, British girl group FLO, and NiNe8 Collective member Biig Piig. Rising electronic producer Fred Again.. also joins the list alongside singer-songwriter Cat Burns, and indie star Rachel Chinouriri.
