Beth Ditto confirms details of solo album ‘Fake Sugar’ with a spice of lead track ‘Fire’

  • Dork News Desk
  • April 4, 2017
After laying out a smattering of headline shows around Europe, Beth Ditto has laid out details of her debut solo album – set to be titled ‘Fake Sugar’

Due for release on June 16th, the record has been previewed with the swag-chested lead track ‘Fire’ (debuted as Mistajam’s Hottest Record last night), a smooth Americana-rock mover that drenches itself in deep retro blues and garage-rock refrains for a sound that oozes with an unmistakable ease.

It’s Beth Ditto, and she’s coming back for the crown.

‘Fake Sugar’ will be Beth Ditto’s first record since Gossip announced their split last year, with their previous record before that released in 2012. Beth Ditto will preview fresh cuts from ‘Fake Sugar’ at a trio of European headline shows over the next week – including a night at London’s Omeara on April 11th.

Check those dates and the full ‘Fake Sugar’ track listing right after ‘Fire’ below,
