Big Thief have dropped two new tracks, ‘No Reason’ and ‘Spud Infinity’.

They’re taken from forthcoming album ‘Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You’, set for release on 11th February 2022 via 4AD.

The record was recorded in four different sessions, and during the third in the Colorado Rockies, the band heard someone playing from a nearby lookout tower. Like you do.

They met the person responsible – musician Richard Hardy, who played on countless records over the past 30 years including several with Carole King. They invited him to sit in on some songs, and his fluting features on ‘No Reason’.

Second of the two tracks, ‘Spud Infinity’ – which has already been performed live – features Adrianne Lenker’s younger brother Noah on jaw harp (yes, jaw harp) and Mat Davidson on fiddle.

You can check out both ‘No Reason’ and ‘Spud Infinity’ below.
