Billie Eilish, Florence + The Machine, Sam Fender & more are set to play Sziget Festival 2023

  • December 1, 2022

Budapest’s Sziget Festival has announced its initial line-up, including Billie Eilish, Florence + The Machine, Sam Fender & many more.

The five-day Island of Freedom party will be held on August 10th-15th 2023, following the 2022 rendition which included globally successful acts like Arctic Monkeys, Dua Lipa, and Tame Impala. Although there is still much to be revealed about the upcoming celebrations, a first look at the billing was released today (December 1st).

Billie Eilish has already cemented her headliner status with an eclectic performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, not to mention the success of her huge world tour which included a momentous six-night sold-out run at London’s 02 Arena. In her recent sixth annual Vanity Fair interview, the LA-based singer shared that she has already been working on her third LP alongside her brother FINNEAS – the Sziget stages could be a great place to share this new material…

Florence + The Machine will offer a headline performance full of powerhouse vocals and irresistible songwriting, including tracks from their recent fifth album, ‘Dance Fever’. Dork’s 4-star review described the ambitious project as, “an album straining at its leash, dreaming of the freedom of the dancefloor”.

French DJ David Guetta and American pop-rockers Imagine Dragons round out the top of the 2023 billing.

Elsewhere, Geordie icon Sam Fender will bring the heights of his soaring second album, ‘Seventeen Going Under’, to the Hungarian stage after a last-minute pull-out at this year’s festival. Multi-faceted Oxford group Foals will also appear, offering a discography of raging rock anthems as well as poppier dance cuts from their latest effort, ‘Life Is Yours’.

YUNGBLUD and Viagra Boys will bring stormy energy with their own 2022 material, while Dork favourites Easy Life, Baby Queen, and Los Bitchos will dazzle with their own growing discographies.
