Billie Eilish is set to headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2022.
The festival confirmed the news via social media, revealing she’ll top the bill on the Friday night, and become the youngest ever Glastonbury headliner. It’ll also be her first UK festival headline performance.
The news comes after Billie teased the news on her Instagram story last night (Sunday 3rd October), in which she was wearing a Glastonbury hoodie with the caption ‘2022’.
It’s been rumoured for a while that the singer would be playing Glastonbury this year, after a convenient gap in her schedule for her ‘Happier Than Ever’ tour lined up with the event. Two shows at London’s O2 on June 25th and 26th following a Paris show on 22nd June left a convenient gap for an appearance on the Friday night (24th June).
Other acts already confirmed include Diana Ross, who will play the Sunday afternoon ‘legend’ slot that she was confirmed for as part of 2020’s cancelled edition.
