Billie Marten is out, Self Esteem is in as Covid rules out another act at Latitude 2021

Another positive Covid test means another new act joining the bill.

Billie Marten is the latest artist to have to pull out of this weekend’s Latitude Festival thanks to a positive Covid test.

Writing on social media, she confirmed that she’s “utterly devastated but unfortunately I am still testing positive.”

“Hopefully see you all next year”, she added.

It’s a bittersweet update, though, as her Sunday Obelisk Arena slot has been filled by Self Esteem!

“Deeply under rehearsed but YOLO,” she tweeted. “See you there! Bring positive vibes!”

Previously acts including Alfie Templeman, Fontaines D.C, Arlo Parks and PVA have had to pull out thanks to positive tests in or around the artist’s teams. The likes of Sports Team and Walt Disco have been drafted in as last minute replacements.

Latitude continues until tomorrow, Sunday 25th July. You can read our report from the first day, featuring Wolf Alice, Declan McKenna and more here.
