blink-182 have confirmed themselves for a last-minute Coachella 2023 set

The trio will perform a set in the Sahara tent between 6:45-7:35 pm (PDT) later today (April 14th).

blink-182 are set to make a surprise appearance at this year’s Coachella Festival, with frontman Tom DeLonge confirming the news yesterday (April 13).

The trio will perform a set in the Sahara tent between 6:45-7:35 pm (PDT) later today (April 14th).

Initially, the band’s appearance was subtly announced by promoters late on Wednesday (April 12th), when their name was featured on the festival schedule. Taking to social media, DeLonge shared an image of a teleprompter onstage which read lyrics from their hit 2000 track, ‘Family Reunion’, alongside the caption: “See you at Coachella on Friday 6:30 pm Sahara Tent”.

The set will be the band’s first performance together with their most famous line-up since 2014 and could feature songs from their upcoming album, which DeLonge previously described as “the best we’ve ever made”.

Last October, the classic lineup released their comeback single ‘Edging’, which will feature on the as-yet-untitled LP – their first album since 2019’s ‘Nine’.

Other names set to appear at the upcoming festival include Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, Frank Ocean, Gorillaz, Rosalía and Björk. Jai Paul is also set to make his first-ever live performance.

The festival will take place at Indio’s Empire Polo Club between April 14-16 and April 21-23 and all six 2023 stages will be live-streamed on YouTube.
