Bloc dismiss founder’s “spineless hipster” comments

  • Dork News Desk
  • March 21, 2016
Bloc has issued a statement, following an article written by one of its founders last week.

The piece, written by George Hull for The Spectator, was less than complementary to those who attended this year’s Bloc Weekender in Minehead. It also described modern day dance music as “tedious” and “diluted”.

The new statement reads: “Bloc extends a welcoming vibe to every single person who comes together to share in the experience. The vibe at every single rave, big or small, for the past ten years is testament to that. The kind of people who choose to go is testament to that.

“We were blown away by the crowd at this year’s weekender and want to sincerely thank you all. As we’ve signed off for more than a decade: love, power, respect, admiration – to you all.”
