Bloc Party are up to some ‘Sex Magik’ with their latest ‘Alpha Games’ teaser

The band are set to headline BBC 6 Music Festival this April.

Bloc Party have shared another taster of their forthcoming album ‘Alpha Games’.

Titled ‘Sex Magik’, it follows up on the already revealed ‘Traps’ and ‘The Girls Are Fighting’. ‘Alpha Games’, Bloc Party’s first full-length since 2016’s ‘Hymns’, I’d set for release on 29th April.

“‘Sex Magik’ is probably my favourite song on the record,” explains Kele Okereke (via Stereogum). “It’s about a memory that I’d completely forgotten that resurfaced a few years ago about a summer fling that I had. I was a teenager at the time and during that summer I felt like the veil had been lifted from my eyes. I saw the world in a completely different way. It was a short-lived affair but the effects of that summer have stayed with me for a lifetime.”

Bloc Party are set to headline the BBC 6 Music Festival this April in Cardiff, before heading out on a run of UK and EU dates across May and June.
