Blood Red Shoes’ Laura-Mary Carter to play first solo gig

She's supporting The Long Blondes’ Kate Jackson.
Blood Red Shoes frontwoman Laura-Mary Carter will play her first solo gig next month, supporting The Long Blondes’ Kate Jackson on her own solo tour.

The gig will take place on 3rd June, at the Courtyard Theatre in London, and is to celebrate the release of Jackson’s new album ‘British Road Movies’.

“I have been writing songs for a while now in between writing sessions for BRS album 5,” says Laura-Mary.

“Thought it would be cool to start playing them live and was thrilled when Kate asked me to come play with her.

“Excited to share music with you soon and also of course Blood Red Shoes.”

Blood Red Shoes’ most recent album was their 2014 self-titled record; the follow up to 2008’s ‘Box of Secrets’, 2010’s ‘Fire Like This’ and 2012’s ‘In Time To Voices’.
