Bombay Bicycle Club have released the title-track from their upcoming acoustic EP, a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s ‘Two Lives’

The full release is coming later this month.

Bombay Bicycle Club have released a new teaser from their upcoming acoustic EP, ‘Two Lives’.

Set for release on 24th July, the four-track EP will feature acoustic ‘reworkings’ of three tracks from their latest album ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’ – ‘Racing Stripes’, ‘Is It Real’ and ‘Let You Go’ – plus this new ‘un, a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s ‘Two Lives’

Singer and guitarist Jack Steadman explains: “My dad introduced me to this beautiful Bonnie Raitt song on one of our long car journeys, and I instantly fell in love with the harmonies. We also felt it was a fitting title for our EP where we showcase the two lives of our songs, one that is layered and one stripped back.”

The ‘Two Lives’ EP will be made available to download through a ‘pay-what-you-want’ scheme on the band’s website, with all proceeds going towards the work of Chineke! (an organisation focused on creating opportunities for black and minority ethnic musicians through mentorship and more) as well as Youth Music (an organisation investing in music programmes for young people in deprived communities).
