Bombay Bicycle Club announced their hiatus at the end of January. Now, bassist Ed Nash has returned with a new solo project.
Going under the name Toothless, Nash debuted a new track ‘Terra’ via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show earlier today (March 22nd). Talking to Lowe, he explained how he intended to “do this in the same way I was doing Bombay Bicycle Club.”
There’s a plan to release an album at the end of the year, with Nash putting a band together to tour the record. “I’m sure Bombay Bicycle Club isn’t completely dead,” he finishes. “When no-one likes this, I can start doing that again.”

Toothless will play London’s Moth Club on May 17th.
