Bonnie Kemplay has continued to unveil her upcoming EP, ‘running out of things to say, running out of things to do’, with the new single, ‘Checkers’.
The new project was recently announced alongside the release of her last single, ‘Static’, and is set to document three of the 20-year-old singer-songwriter’s most formative years in an intimate and relaxed sonic.
This most recent track draws on childhood memories of sibling bonding through the titular game. Bonnie has elaborated: “‘Checkers’ is about ending a relationship with someone and reflecting on my ‘happy place’ as a distraction or coping mechanism.”
