The Strokes, Haim, Glass Animals, Japanese Breakfast and more are playing Boston Calling 2022

  • January 21, 2022

The line-up for the returning edition of Boston Calling has been announced, with The Strokes, Foo Fighters and Metallica set to top the bill.

Other acts playing include Haim, Glass Animals, Run The Jewels, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Orville Peck, Kennyhoopla, Japanese Breakfast, Weezer, Paris Texas and Pom Pom Squad.

“We are so thrilled to bring Boston Calling back, and we cannot thank our loyal fans enough for supporting us as we navigated the pandemic,” co-founder Brian Appel said in a statement. “This year’s lineup is particularly special for us. It not only signifies a return to the things we love, but it also celebrates some of the world’s most renowned acts, exciting up-and-comers, and Boston’s talented music scene. Knowing how much Boston musicians endured during the pandemic, it was very important to us that Boston Calling 2022 shine a spotlight on local and regional artists more than ever before. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone come together on Memorial Day Weekend.”

The line-up won’t feature the originally announced Rage Against The Machine, who were initially down to headline the 2022 edition after their appearance in 2020 was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic. Their reunion tour’s first leg has been postponed, and will now kick off in July.

Bostom Calling will take place between 27th and 29th May at Harvard Athletic Complex, Boston. Tickets are on sale now.
