Brand New have pulled their upcoming UK tour following assault allegations

They were going to perform in Dublin, London and Glasgow later this week.
Over the weekend, Brand New frontman Jesse Lacey was accused of sexual misconduct with a minor.

“He solicited nudes from me starting when I was 15 and he was 24,” reads the post. “Manipulated the hell out of me, demanded specific poses/settings/clothing, demeaned me, and made it clear that my sexuality was the only thing I had to offer.”

As a result, Martha pulled out of supporting the band at their upcoming UK and Ireland dates, as did Kevin Devine, and Jesse released a statement claiming to have “a dependent and addictive relationship with sex”.

And now the band have “postponed” their UK tour, though it seems unlikely to be rescheduled.

“Due to the events of the last few days, Brand New will be postponing it’s upcoming three shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland,” reads their latest update. “Ticket refunds will be accepted at the original point of purchase.”

The tour was set to visit:
