Broadbay premiere new EP, ‘Long Term Plan’

It's out 'officially' tomorrow, but have a sneak peak now first on Dork.
Brighton boys Broadbay drop their new EP ‘Long Term Plan’ tomorrow – but before then, you can hear the release in its entirety below, first on Dork.

“2016 was very tough for us,” explains vocalist James Willett. “Angus joined us over night during a tour where our stand in bass player quit. We were then due to tour for the next month or so and go straight in to the studio afterwards. I think we practised three times in four months due to James temporarily relocating to Northampton.

“When we went in to the studio not only were we tracking with strict time constraints but we were teaching Angus the bass parts as well. Needless to say we didn’t have enough time to finish everything, so we recorded vocals a few weeks later. After mixing James still wasn’t happy with his vocals so rerecorded them all a few weeks later in a day before work.

“During this time and the following months life continued to get in the way and we all had our own personal battles to deal with, hence the lack of live shows towards the end of the year. This recording symbolises true catharsis to us. Coming out of what was a very difficult year, seeing all our hard work come to fruition is a great experience.”

The band – who recently premiered their fancy new 360 video with our pals at Upset – also have a few tour dates this week, playing The Hope in Brighton tonight (23rd February), The Hawley Arms in London tomorrow (24th February) and The Garibaldi in Northampton this weekend (25th February).
