C.Macleod premieres new video for ‘Shake The Walls’

It's a song rooted in the history of C. Macleod's hometown.
C. Macleod has dropped a video for his moving new track ‘Shake The Walls’ – watch below, first on Dork.

It’s the latest cut from his upcoming three-track EP, ‘Old Fire’, which was produced by Ethan Johns (Laura Marling, Kings of Leon, Paul McCartney).

“‘Shake The Walls’ is based around an old tale from the island I live on, as are all the songs on the forthcoming album,” the Isle of Lewis musician explains.

“As the story goes an old man was in prayer, angrily calling out to God saying ‘Show us what you can do’, or something to that effect, and the walls started shaking.

“There’s a great tradition of oral storytelling where I’m from, this is one I was told when I was younger and has always stuck with me.

“I always wondered how he must have felt, so the song is sort of based around how I feel the man would have felt.”
