‘Call The Police’. ‘American Dream’. LCD Soundsystem return in glorious fashion

Imagine everything you would of wished for from James Murphy & Co’s return, and times that by a thousand
Like a shining stallion emerging across the horizon, LCD Soundsystem have returned – and returned in a big way with two storming new numbers ‘Call The Police’ and ‘American Dream’.

The moment James Murphy’s familiar calls ring out it’s pure LCD gold. ‘Call The Police’ surging with an undeniable warmth that calls to mind their greatest moments, while ‘American Dream’ paints a chilling portrait of love lost and longing for more over mesmeric synth heaven. Capturing emotion in a way only LCD Soundsystem can, it’s got us head over heels all over again – and that replay button is gearing itself up for a busy ‘ol day (week/month/year/you get the idea).

Both ‘Call The Police’ and ‘American Dream’ are set to feature on LCD Soundsystem’s upcoming new LP – the first in over seven years and described by James Murphy himself as “one of the most enjoyable records to make in my life, if not the most fun ever”. The band are set to appear on tomorrow night’s Saturday Night Live in the States, so have a guess what tracks they’re going to play there eh?!

Until then, forget what you’re doing. Put down the Friday rush and savour the moment. LCD Soundsystem are back, and they’re back to claim that crown once and for all.
